One Arranged Murder

Author: Chetan Bhagat
Book: One Arranged Murder
Genre: Thriller Suspense

This is the second book of Chetan Bhagat I read. The title of the book interests me to read it. Though it is not the continuation of his book ‘The Girl in Room No. 108’ but we find a glimpse of some characters and places in the story.

Again it is the story of Saurabh and Keshav. Saurabh, a fat guy, who can’t think until he had eaten a ton of food and Keshav is a normal guy. They both work in the same company and share a common apartment. Both are detectives (it is a company mentioned in the previous book which they started after solving Zara Lone murder case). The story starts with the wedding preparation of Saurabh with Prerna, later obstruct with her murder

Then the story runs on an investigation of the murder case. We can easily guess the murderer after completing 5 to 10 chapters
If you think it can create an atmosphere in Agatha Christie’s novel, then you will be quite disappointed.

It is the second attempt of the author to the crime genre but he fails again. The novel reads like a script of a terrible Hindi movie with one eye firmly on selling it for a fat cheque to the movie producer.
